Vertical blinds are still the most popular type of blind with the ability of controlling the light and privacy, they are extremely versatile shading product that is ideal for a variety of windows and doors as well as conservatories of all shapes and sizes. They work especially well with the current trend of high tall glass window due to there easy of control
Bradrail vertical blinds are manufactured and have been tested to the highest possible quality, other blind companies will cut corners and provide you with cheaper and cost saving components and we know that they do not stand the test of the time and once they break all they want to do is sell you a new blinds... not on really is it ?
Bradrail vertical blind system is based on a very heavy duty headrail which is powder coated inside and out, why? you may ask, the thicker the profile of the headrail the larger the width the blind can be, also this stop long drop blinds from twisting the headrail and having the "trucks" dragging inside making it difficult to and noisy to operate.
With our own vertical blind system you can buy a blind from ourselves and you can expect it to have a minimum life span of 5 years and from the reports of the customers still going strong after 15+ years.
Domestic and commercial customers will get the same headrail system showing the durability and long-life of the product, but don't worry about it going out of fashion we can provide you with a brand new set of slats at a small price compared to a complete new blind.
Louvre widths are 89mm ( 3.1/2" ) & 127mm ( 5" ) the 89mm louvre width is now more the popular size, (the size tend to reflects the depth of your window recess) and has the larger choice of fabrics, but we do carry and manufacture 127mm style headrail and slats, giving you the customer the widest possible choice.
We prefer to stitch bond our fabric louvres rather than glue or heat bond them. This is important when fitted in widows that receive constant direct sunlight due to the glue peeling and the hems falling apart.
With any PVC or fibreglass fabrics, we will heat weld these as the are able to create a very strong bond and these non porous louvres look far neater than the finish than the stitch holes, if you are unsure about this please ask as we happy to send you a sample to show you the difference

- A truck is the device which is attached inside the headrail and where a slat will be attached and allows the movement when opening the blind and also twist/ turning the position of the slats.
- We use self aligning trucks, these allow to create and keep an even spacing of the slats and can be reset just by opening and closing the blind to its full extents. This again provide a more professional and pleasing finish to your blind
Slat Sizes & Fabric
- 89mm (3 1/2") and 127mm (5 1/2") louvre slats

Vertical Blind Controls
Traditional chains and cord system
Wand system which is a single wand connected to the headrail which is used to open and close the slats, and also by rotating it will change the tilt angle of the slats. This is not just a gimmick, we suggest this method for safety option where there are children have access to the blinds, or disabilities due to the easy of use.
Louvre Slats
With our blinds we offer a slats / louvre replacement service which allows you to easily replace your slats for a new design whilst only being a small cost, making it as easy to create a new look with your blind with every time you redecorate or even just fancy a change
Our blinds are quality blinds, rather than "cheap blinds" as we want them to last a lifetime we no hassles and the ability to upgrade / replace items rather than replace a blind. No matter how much we can tell you it will be when you see them
*TOP TIP* Always ask to see samples of the handrail's being offered as many are hollow inside giving an almost skeletal or flimsy appearance. These light weight head rails and only powdered coated on the outside these very quickly become noisy & stiffness to use due to dirt & dust collecting inside these hollow areas and the un-smooth finish.
