Summary

  • The 888poker LIVE High Stakes festival will take place from April 20th to May 1st
  • Nine-event series culminates in £2,100 Main Event
  • The program also includes a £3,000 High Roller and a £225 Mystery Bounty

Fresh off its latest Live Weekend event at London’s popular Grosvenor Victoria casino (The Vic), 888poker LIVE returns to the legendary site, this time to host a series of high-stakes poker.

the 888poker LIVE High Stakes Festival will run from April 20 to May 1, with nine events, with buy-ins starting at £150 and going up to £3,000. The series opens with the multi-steal 888poker Cup with a £1,000 buy-in taking place from April 21-24.

The main highlight of the festival is undoubtedly the £2,100 Main Event, but there are other key tournaments to watch, including the £3,000 High Roller.

The last event hosted by 888poker LIVE at The Vic in London was in February. Joe Hindry became one of the biggest winners after winning the £444 Main Event for £60,000. A similar tournament was won by Bhavin Katri in January for £126,340.

888poker LIVE High Stakes Festival Main Event

The Main Event has three 1 days and unlimited re-entries are allowed for each flight. Players kick off the action with a starting stack of 20,000 plays at tiers of 60 minutes for the Regular Flight and 20 minutes for the Turbo Edition (Day 1C). As soon as the final table is reduced to only five players, the blinds then drop from 60 minutes to 30 minutes. Departure flights begin April 28, with the final action scheduled for May 1.

Those who can’t afford the £2,100 entry fee for the Main Event can enter the tournament for much less via satellites. Players have two options: take part in the live £225 cashout satellites at The Vic (April 20-26) or take part in the online qualifiers taking place at 888poker for as little as $0.01. You can visit the 888poker website for the full satellite schedule.

Other Highlights

The program includes many events with buy-ins not exceeding £500, such as Le Voyage, Big Shot and a PLO tournamentbut if you want to go much higher than that, the series also includes a £3,000 High Roller which kicks off on April 27.

There is also a Senior tournament (50+) slated for May 1, with the increasingly popular Mystery Bounty format also added to the mix. The tournament costs £225 to participate and also takes place on May 1.
