AEA Investors Expected to Consider $ 3 Billion Springs Window Sale
AEA Investors is considering a sale of Springs Window Fashions that could value the window product maker at over $ 3 billion, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
The private equity firm is working with advisers to explore options for the Middleton, Wisconsin-based firm, said the people, who asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to speak in public. Springs Window is likely to attract the interest of other buyout companies and peers in the construction products industry, the people said.
No final decision has been made and AEA could choose to keep the business, the people said.
Representatives for the AEA and Springs Window declined to comment.
A deal would be the latest outflow of private equity in construction products as investors capitalize on a boom in home construction and renovation amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Platinum share agreed this month to buy Cabinetworks Group as owners of Associated Materials consider sale, Bloomberg News has reported.
AEA invested at Springs Window in 2018 alongside the British Columbia Investment Management Corp. A representative from British Columbia declined to comment.
The company supplies blinds, shades and window hardware to retailers and distributors under the Bali, Graber, Horizons and SunSetter brands, according to its website.
