New data from sustainable baby retailer Finn + Emma has revealed which 2021 baby names are destined for an impressive paycheck later in life. The data was produced through an analysis of this year’s most popular boy and girl names, compared using the Adzunas job search engine, salary tool, in an effort to uncover who’s about. to earn the most.
The popular name ‘Isla’ came out on top for the girls in the winning ranks, with an expected salary of £ 48,000. In second place, and arguably a consequence of the popularity of the viral TikTok star, ‘Addison’ came in with £ 41,000, while ‘Luna’ came in third with £ 37,000.
Other names securing a place in the top 10 were Ava, Lily and Madison, with Scarlett coming in last.
The highest income for the boys turned out to be ‘Mason’, which is expected to bring home around £ 60,000. Second place was taken by “Hudson”, while third place was the popular name “Christopher”. The top 10 boys also included Noah, Isaac, and Oliver.
Compared to the same study undertaken in 2017, the new data shows that the gender pay gap is slowly narrowing. In 2017, the name of the highest paid girl was £ 39,000, while that of the boy was £ 61,000.
