Beg leads 109 survivors; Big names in the mix close to the silver bubble | 2021 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Northern Cyprus
The jewel in the crown of 2021 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Northern Cyprus party at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel Casino & Spa in Girne, Northern Cyprus is one more step towards the crowning of a champion. Out of a field of 839 registered, only 109 hopes remain and the first 98 will receive part of the prize pool of $ 3,859,400.
It was an incredibly busy day in the conference center as the size of the pitch filled with 140 more entries within three hours of late registration. With nine levels of 60 minutes each completed, the tournament has practically reached the silver bubble but has yet to do so.
Furkan begging climbed to the first place of the last level of the night after scoring a huge double thanks to WSOP Online 2020 International Main Event champion Stoyan Madanzhiev and ended the evening with 2,520,000 chips. The Bulgarian also qualified, but with a shorter stack of just 420,000.
The other big stacks belong to Vlad Darie (2,170,000), Zorlu Er (2,128,000), Giorgiy Skhulukhiya (1,989,000), Dominik Panka (1,966,000), Martin Mulsow (1,678,000) and the Turkish High Roller Selahaddin Bedir (1,573,000). Russian star-to-be Artur Martirosian was also involved until the very end to claim 1,484,000 for the penultimate day of the tournament.
The partypoker team had three prospects on the pitch but only one of them came out on Joni Jouhkimainen. The Finn spent most of the day on an action-packed table and advanced with 975,000. For John Duthie, the end has already come early when he collided with a pair of Kings and Jeff Gross broke to the final level via a coin toss.
Many other big names also left with nothing to show. Nicolas Chouity, Matas Cimbolas, Tobias Duthweiler, finalist in the $ 10,500 High Roller, Roberto Romanello, Manig Loeser, Paul Newey, Bart Lybaert and Jakub Michalak all failed to qualify for the silver stages.
The same goes for French online streamers Timothe Busso and Killian Desnos, who both erupted at the level 16 minutes apart. Desnos jammed three-bet with an ace-nine suited to Martin Mulsow’s ace-king and failed to get there with his only live card and a gutshot.
As the late eliminations continued to pour in, the money bubble was already in sight when the final three hands were called. In the end, 109 hopes are packed for the night and they will return the next day at noon local time. The blinds will then be 10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 big blind ante and it remains to be seen whether the final table can be reached or not.
