reusableUse the best green cleaning products to reduce your environmental footprint. Our E Cloth reviews will help you decide which products are best for you!
Having a clean house for my family brings peace of mind. When our environment is clean and mess-free, I feel calmer and in control. My focus improves with fewer chores and I can be more present for enjoyable activities. Sanitary surfaces protect my family from foodborne illness and mean our home won’t attract insects or pests.
Unfortunately, commercially produced cleaning products often contain harmful chemicals such as phosphate, lye, pesticides, ammonia, isopropanol and other toxic ingredients. Painful symptoms may result from exposure. Respiratory problems, allergic reactions, chemical skin burns, and headaches are known issues, along with unknown long-term effects in humans and pets. And of course, we all know that some cleaning products can cause death if ingested. We do our best to protect young children with scary labels, awareness and child-locked closets, but none of these precautions are foolproof.
While keeping these products away from little hands is great practice, just using them in your home creates a level of exposure that you may not be aware of. The smell and residue from cleaners can trigger asthma or eczema problems in some people. I am not comfortable risking our skin and lungs or compromising our health and safety with harmful chemicals.
Then there are the environmental drawbacks. Cleaning products wash into sewers, streams and rivers, where they linger and enter the food chain. Compounds in cleaning products add to smog outside the home and affect indoor air quality. Additionally, many containers are not made from recyclable materials. They end up in landfills where they seep into the ground and are flushed into waterways.
Single-use disposable paper towels are a luxury that harms the environment. Paper towel waste is often non-recyclable and contributes to landfill pollution and depletes forests globally.
I look for products that require less energy to produce, are low in toxicity, are reusable, and come in minimal/recyclable packaging. Our home atmosphere is healthier and we dispose of many items that end up in landfills and waterways. With a few small, simple changes, we can all have a big and lasting impact on the planet.
E-Fabric Reviews
E-cloth eco-friendly products are created with your family’s well-being in mind and serve the best interests of a healthier environment. These items only use water to clean with sparkling results. The company places a high value on chemical-free cleaning, and most items are guaranteed for 100+ washes and reuses. Their line of products offers a smarter way to clean with zero toxic exposure that will help you sleep at night. All of this makes it one of the best green cleaning products on the market.
Here are some durable must-haves that I love for my home.
1 pack of 8 household cleaners
This set of 8 contains a variety of E-Cloth microfiber cleaning and polishing cloths. They can be used on countertops, appliances, windows, bathrooms, kitchens, appliances, etc. Each towel removes grease, dirt and over 99% of bacteria with just the use of water. Trading them means saving money and reducing wood harvesting. Since these eco-friendly products don’t require added chemical cleaners, you eliminate potentially harmful residue that accumulates on commonly used surfaces.
Cloths can be used repeatedly, rinsed and hung between uses or machine washed.
2 foldable deep cleaning mops
My favorite cleaning weapon in my arsenal from the products in our E Cloth reviews is this adjustable height handle with wet and dry cleaning attachment options. I use it on all hard floors; laminate, wood, tile, vinyl and stone. It’s great for hard-to-reach places like under furniture, between cabinets, or hanging fans and light fixtures. It’s designed to be a quick and easy solution for even the dustiest surfaces with a lightweight aluminum telescoping handle that extends up to five feet. And the easy-to-swivel head makes it very maneuverable.
This reusable product eliminates my need for a disposable mop and dusting head wear, saving us money and reducing the waste I create when cleaning. The deep cleaning mop head cleans using only water and removes grease, dirt and over 99% of bacteria. It can be refreshed by rinsing after use or tossing it in the washing machine for a guarantee of 100 washes or one year of reuse. I can easily switch from wet mopping to dry dusting with the quick hook-and-loop closures. The construction of the dry dusting head is ideal for handling pet hair or grabbing and holding tiny dust particles. The E-Cloth Foldable Deep Cleaning Mop is a healthier and much more convenient way to clean floors and hard-to-reach surfaces.
3 High performance dusting glove
Reducing allergens and dust mites helps us all breathe a little easier. In order to eliminate the use of aerosol dusting spray and single-use surface wipes, I started using the E-Cloth High Performance Dusting Mitt around the house. It is perfect for tiny or hard-to-reach places. Long, soft fibers attract dust and allergens without the use of chemical cleaners. Simply slip on the mitt for dry use on shelves, ornaments, blinds, lamps, light bulbs, trinkets, trim and frames. If you’re lucky enough to have height – like me – it’s handy for ceiling fans. Alternatively, take a stepladder and slide your gloved hand over each fan blade. This item can be rinsed for reuse or thrown in the washing machine.
4 Pack of 2 glass cleaners
I have an endless battle to keep dog nose prints off the windows of my house. With their greedy faces, slobbering and squeezing the glass again while we were gone, I have my work cut out to keep the grime from building up. Before switching to the E-Cloth Glass Cleaner 2-Pack, I thought it was impossible to achieve a crystal clear shine without using harsh glass cleaners. Now I wet the waffle fabric window cloth with warm water and wipe the glass thoroughly, no chemicals needed. Using just water does the trick and kills 99% of bacteria without the harmful residue. Then I follow it up with the dry glass polishing cloth for a clear finish. This product eliminates the need for paper towels and bottles of window cleaner. You can use it on frames, sills and all types of windows for a streak and lint free finish. To refresh clothes, rinse or toss in laundry for reuse with a 3-year, 300-wash warranty. It’s a huge saving, both economically and financially. Win, win!
5 Kitchen Dynamo Cloth
This fantastic scrubber is the perfect replacement for many sponges. Its sturdy construction will outlast your average sponge and it cleans with just the power of water. No need for additional cleaners, not even dish soap. Dampen the Kitchen Dynamo Cloth and use it to soak up spills, trap grease, clean sink scum, and remove microwave messes. It can even be used to wipe down small appliances, stainless steel and cast iron. Extra-long absorbent microfibers will get into places where a sponge is missing. This product does the job of removing stuck-on food by grabbing moisture without leaving chemical residue or scratching surfaces. This will help reduce kitchen cleaning waste by eliminating the need for single-use cleaning wipes and paper towels. With the 100 wash guarantee, you can clean the brush with your other E-Cloth cleaning products and reuse it, week after week. Making the switch for this habit will save you money and keep your kitchen cleaning routine free of harmful toxins.
