Old WPT Vienna champion Boris Kolev was the first casualty at the final table. He lost a crucial coinflip with ace-king against pocket ladies of Halil kezer to bow out in ninth place, valued at $ 37,120.
A very short stack Askar Bekbayev fell to eighth place before Kezer crashed at the hands of Tobias Duthweiler. Kezer hit two pair, queens and seven, on the river, but Duthweiler had turned a straight of nine.
Sixth place went to Yakov Onuchin, who became another victim of Duthweiler. Onuchin raised all-in with top pair and an endless straight draw only to find Duthweiler sitting there with a Broadway straight and a royal flush draw. Duthweiler improved with an Ace flush on the turn, leaving Onuchin a draw.
Bad Beat eliminates Romero

pro american James romero crashed in fifth and pocketed the final five-figure prize of the tournament, $ 93,020. Romero may consider himself unlucky to have lost what he did because he got some good ace-king chips against the dominated ace-queen of Fahredin Mustafov. A queen on the flop proved enough to send Romero home sooner than he expected.
Mustafov fell in third despite winning Romero’s chips. Mustafov got his stack with Queen Seven and lost to Duthweiler’s Queen Ten. A ten on the flop sealed Mustafov’s fate; the Bulgarian walked away with $ 124,075.
Heads-up was established when the chip leader at the start of the day Christophe Panetti saw his tournament come to an abrupt end. Hoping to steal the blinds and antes, Panetti pushed with king-seven, and Ercan sought him with ace-queen. An ace on the flop solidified Ercan’s lead, although Panetti got a straight draw on the turn. Ercan was holding hands and Panetti walked over to the cashier’s office to collect $ 173,120.
Ercan did the job against Duthweiler in the head-to-head battle when the pair got their chips preflop, Ercan holding a pair of nines and Duthweiler a pair of eights. The board did not provide any help to Duthweiler and he had to settle for the second place prize of $ 265,995, leaving Ercan for a salary of $ 377,115.
