“Fabrica 2.0 Machine” replaces the name “Tera 250”, following the latest acquisition by Nano Dimension
Nano Dimension Expands Reach Beyond Additive Manufacturing Electronics
Sunrise, Florida, August 09, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Nano Dimension Ltd. (Nasdaq: NNDM), an industry leader Ain a playful way Mmade Eelectronic (TEA) and Ptorn EThe electronics manufacturing (PE) system supplier announced today that Nanofabrica Ltd. and its additive manufacturing (AM) 3D printing system were officially renamed following the acquisition by Nano Dimension in April 2021. It is now known as “Nano Dimension’s Fabrica Group ”, and its printing system with micro AM Tera 250 technology is now Fabrica 2.0 3D-Additive-Micro-Manufacturing Machine.
Since the introduction of the Fabrica 2.0 machine, Fabrica Group has made significant progress in positioning micro-3D printing as a viable alternative to traditional microplastics manufacturing technologies. The main advantage is the way 3D printing allows the design and production of complex micro-geometries at no additional cost. The Fabrica 2.0 is also much more agile and flexible than traditional manufacturing technologies. The requirement for no tooling means that designs can be changed with minimal cost, and the potential for mass customization is now open to players in the micro-manufacturing industry.
Fabrica 2.0 is used in the fields of medical devices, micro-optics, semiconductors, micro-electronics, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), microfluidics and life sciences , by manufacturing products such as housings for micro-electronics, micro-springs, microactuators and micro-sensors, as well as many medical components such as micro-valves, micro-syringes and surgical devices.
Dr Jon Donner, Managing Director and Sales Team Leader of Fabrica, said: “The acquisition by Nano Dimension enables Fabrica to accelerate its time to market. The Fabrica 2.0 machine is suitable for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in all industries looking to fabricate small or larger parts with micron precision. The opportunities we face are vast. With the support and geographic reach of Nano Dimension, we are accelerating our sales efforts towards the goal of introducing our technology into all relevant verticals in all geographies. Nano Dimension enjoys a high profile in the AM industry, and the renaming of our micro-AM technology as “Fabrica 2.0 machine” underscores the fact that we are pragmatically focusing on opportunities for “ micro-fabrication ”of parts and components using 3D-AM. as an alternative to traditional technologies.
Yoav Stern, CEO and President of Nano Dimension, said the “Fabrica Group & Fabrica 2.0 Machine” brand indicates our increased focus on all fault-tolerant AM manufacturing, not just AM-Electronics. In addition, it is expected that the machines of the next generations of the Fabrica group will be equipped with our unique deep learning / machine learning patented for the neural manufacturing network, enabling intelligent manufacturing in real time with automatic correction. Our customer base is broadened with Fabrica’s solutions, as our positioning gradually evolves towards leveraging our Deep Cube in 3D AM manufacturing at all levels. We now have an unmatched competitive advantage with very high barriers to entry, erected by patented Deep Cube Intelligence technology.
About Nano Dimension
Nano Dimension (Nasdaq: NNDM) is a supplier of intelligent machines for additive manufacturing electronics (AME) manufacturing, which includes high performance electronic devices (Hi-PED®) and printed circuit boards (PCBs). Nano Dimension systems meet cross-industry needs by simultaneously depositing proprietary conductive and consumable dielectric materials, while simultaneously integrating capacitors, antennas, coils, transformers and electromechanical components in situ, to operate at unprecedented performance. In doing so, Nano Dimension makes possible what is not otherwise possible with traditional manufacturing techniques. The results are electronic devices that are integral to autonomous smart drones, cars, satellites, smartphones and in vivo medical devices. These products require iterative development, IP security, rapid time to market, and device performance gains. These needs are met by two generations of DragonFly from Nano Dimension.® system. The first generation, DragonFly LDM®, is already deployed in a wide range of industries, including academic and research institutions, defense, aerospace, autonomous automotive, robotics and biotechnology. The second generation will be launched later in 2021. A revolution is just a click away: go from CAD to a high performance functional solution with on-site prototyping in hours instead of weeks; create products with better performance; reduce the size and weight of electronic parts and devices; enable innovation; and crucially, protect intellectual property. This is a paradigm shift in the way industry and research institutes research, develop and produce PCBs and Hi-PEDs.®. Nano Dimension bridges the gap between PCB and semiconductor integrated circuits. A revolution in one click: from CAD to a functional and efficient AME device in a few hours, only at the expense of consumable materials. For more information, please visit www.nano-di.com.
