It only took four hours to crown a winner of the 2021 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Northern Cyprus $ 5,300 Main Event and Georgia Giorgiy Skhulukhiya has gone from strand to strand in a dominant fashion to earn his biggest career paycheck on the live poker circuit so far. The festival’s flagship tournament broke the $ 3 million guarantee with 839 entries and the top 98 won most of the prize pool of $ 3,859,400.
After a short heads-up duel, Skhulukhiya defeated a German poker pro based in Cyprus Robert heidorn heads-up to win the top prize of $ 683,285. The Georgian had already claimed two six-figure wins in the previous two years to his credit at the five-star Merit Crystal Cove Hotel Casino & Spa. In the final table showdown, Skhulukhiya wore a shirt with a print of his daughter’s drawing given to him as a wish to reach the final table. It turned out to be a lucky charm as he concluded the last day in record time.

Canadian Harpreet Gill won his entry into a satellite on partypoker and finished in third place while the final table also included Pokercode Grindhouse member Fabian Bernhauser and local player Angelos Michael from the southern part of the island.
Skhulukhiya also won LuxonPay’s last longer competition against Heidorn to add another little boost to his bankroll. He will surpass $ 2 million in cash on the live poker circuit and solidify his status at the top of the all-time winning list in Georgia. The success of the $ 5,300 Main Event concludes the return of the MILLIONS live poker tour after a hiatus of more than a year and a half due to the global pandemic.

Skhulukhiya dominates the final table
It wasn’t until the first few hands of the final table that Skhulukhiya had to concede top spot, but once he regained it there was simply no turning back. Every opponent who dared to challenge the Georgian’s aggressive playstyle had to pay for it and the only opponent to double down was Fabian Bernhauser with a short stack. All other all-in matches went to Skhulukhiya, who knocked out seven of the other eight contenders.
Hadi Khadra had a rough start to the final table and lost every showdown while gaining the advantage, eventually succumbing to a short stack when her ladies failed to keep up with the as- jack matched by Harpreet Gill. Shortly thereafter, Angelos Michael 3-bet cornered ace-king against the kings of Skhulukhiya and, as the commentators on the partypoker live stream said, it would all be over.
This prediction came true when one finalist after another sent his chips to Skhulukhiya. Halil Baybars lost a flip, Majid Kamarei was passed and Bernhauser paid his previous double when he lost a flip soon after to fall to fifth place. Only ten minutes later the tournament was already ending with the last two and Heidorn had a mountain to climb.
The one-sided heads-up duel apparently never went one-sided and Heidorn was quickly reduced to just eight blinds when he made the final fight with a queen. Skhulukhiya hit an ace and teamed up his kicker to send his last opponent to finish in just under four hours.
