Here’s why J-Hope chose the name Jack In The Box for his solo album; Army guesses?
BTS member J-Hope recently revealed the reason he named his solo album “Jack in the Box” and ARMY won’t be able to guess. The name Jack in the Box that J-Hope kept for his solo album was born from his own stage name. ARMYs already know how J-Hope decided to choose his name with the help of his BTS members RM and Bang PD-nim.
Do you know J-Hope’s term ‘Hope’ was chosen because he felt it combined with his values and plans for his life and career. J-Hope said the word felt good which went well with his positive mood and aimed at the trajectory of his life. Bang PD-nim joined the Greek mythology story of Pandora’s box with the name of J-Hope. Bang even coined the term “Jack in the box” for J-Hope to say during his rap. He said when you make music, it’s like “Jack in the box” in the intro.
Well, the concepts of Pandora’s box and “Jack in the box” seem to be related to each other. Pandora means Hope. J-Hope kept the idea in mind and then decided to use it for his solo album. The handsome star began crafting the storyline for her solo album and used the box as a sign of her growth as an artist. J-Hope said, “That’s where my name came from and I wanted to reflect that in my music. In a way, I tried to make a story out of it. The music that I made like ‘Hope World’, ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’, ‘Blue Side’, the various tracks on the mixtape, if they were all songs in a box, it’s time to leave the box.”
