A new record?
A Tweeter from Rob Yung shows a que enters the owner of King’s Resort Leon Tsoukernik and Tony G..
The game was $1,000/$2,000 Pot-Limit Omaha and was played on a cryptocurrency poker site CoinPoker.
No exact details are known on the hand in question, but Tsoukernik and Tony G were located in the blinds and after a pre-flop raise war both stacks generated a staggering pot of $1,820,783.
The flop gave Tony G a flush draw but there was to be no more help for either player as the board ended . Both players cut the pot.
CoinPoker was launched in 2017 with a mission to provide “safe, transparent and trustworthy online poker games”, according to the CoinPoker representative Isabelle Mercier. In 2020, the former World Series of Poker (WSOP) Player of the Year Robert Campbell joined the site as an ambassador after being drawn to the site’s goals of making poker “accessible, transparent and decentralized”.
Tony G and Tsoukernik back in the fray
This isn’t the first time Tsoukernik has been involved in a notable online poker hand. In July 2020, he was involved in a five-way all-in on the GGPoker gambling tables. He held but his four opponents held aces, kings, queens and jacks, with the queens flopping a set to win a six-figure pot.
Tony G meanwhile is enjoying a successful return to poker, having won two tournaments in 2021 at the Super High Roller Europe Series. He resigned from the Lithuanian parliament early last year, citing his displeasure with a Labor party member.
