According to live event updates, Caleb Piderit has earned his spot in this high roller event via a $2,650 satellite. He managed to turn his seat in that event into a career-best cash of $98,775, his run ending when his A-5 suit was unable to defeat Capretta’s pair of nines. Piderit’s previous top cash was $7,520.

Capretta got another elimination when his AQ held against the K-7 fit of Wynn Winter Classic 2021 main event winner Eli Berg. The flop gave Berg a flush draw, but he was unable to improve the winner on the river and settled for a $130,935 payday as the fifth-place finisher.

Colpoys got the last of his stack with a three-bet squeeze holding KJ. Cheong had called Capretta’s initial raise with AQ, and wasted no time deciding to call after the opener got wide.
